When the seasons change, cruise ships often shift their base operations. This process is called repositioning and passengers are often permitted to accompany the ship as it changes abodes. Here, after spending most of the fall cruising to Canada and New England out of New York City, Regal Princess moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Rather than take the direct route, the ship steered a leisurely course through the Caribbean. (See our review of the cruise).

The cruise began at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal.
The ship then traveled down the East Coast, past Florida and the Bahamas. Along the way, she encountered her sister ship Royal Princess and fleetmate Caribbean Princess.

The first port of call was St. Maarten on a rainy day. The next day, however was sunny in Antigua.
Regal Princess was berthed next to Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas.

The final port of call before Fort Lauderdale was Aruba. Regal Princess was accompanied by Caribbean Princess.
