After running aground in the harbor, QE2 avoided San Juan, Puerto Rico for many years. However, she did return after the Carnival acquisition of Cunard and navigated the harbor without incident. The ship docked at the piers by Old San Juan.

On some cruises, QE2 called at Martinique. She would anchor in the bay and tender passengers into Fort de France.

On her annual Christamas cruise, QE2 would call at a number of ports that she usually did not call at on her Spring and Fall Caribbean cruises. Below she is at Cartagena, Columbia in 1999.
Perhaps because it is not technically in the Caribbean, the Bahamas were not usually a part of QE2's Caribbean cruises. However, occasionally QE2 would make separate short dashes down to Nassau from New York City.
