In the Spring of 2019, Anthem of the Seas was in port with her Royal Caribbean fleetmate Enchantment of the Seas in Nassau. This was not the first time the two ships had met. However, inasmuch as there were no other cruise ships in port, it provided a good opportunity to contrast the two ships.
Enchantment entered service in 1997 whereas Anthem entered service in 2015. Enchantment was considered a big, state-of-the-art cruise ship in 1997 but now compared to the likes of Anthem, she offers more intimate, traditional cruising. |
In 2005, Enchantment was cut in two and an additional section inserted. Consequently, she is now 990 feet long. However, Anthem is 1,141 feet long and much taller.
