Zaandam profile
SUMMARYZaandam is a medium size cruise ship. She is a sister ship to Holland America's Volendam and a near-sister to Amsterdam and Rotterdam formerly of HAL but now with Fred.Olsen Line.
The interior decor and layout are similar to the aforementioned ships and to the slightly smaller S-class ships such as Veendam. In general, the public areas could be described as contemporary but restrained and upscale. As with all HAL ships, Zaandam has a large museum-quality art collection. Zaandam's has a musical theme and includes guitars and artifacts relating to rock legends such as the Rolling Stones. Zaandam's exterior features include a pool that can be enclosed with a retractable Magradome. She also has a teak-covered outdoor promenade that wraps around the superstructure. The ship tends to attract mature passengers. However, she is equipped with extensive facilities for children and teens. |
