Wind Surf has entered the channel leading to the cruise port in St. John's, Antigua's main urban center.
A modern sailing ship, Wind Surf has five masts rising 221 feet above the sea. However, no one has to climb the masts to operate the sails. They are remote-controlled from Wind Surf's bridge. On this occasion, Wind Surf is not using her sails. Rather, she is proceeding under the power of her four diesel-electric engines. Two tug stand by to assist her to her berth. |
