THREE QUEENS SOUTHAMPTON 2015 page one |

2015 marks the 175th anniversary of Cunard's first transatlantic crossing. To begin this celebration year, all three of Cunard's Queens gathered in Southampton, England on 3 May 2015.

The weather did not co-operate in the morning. The three ships were to proceed up Southampton Water in procession and into the harbor. However, a thick fog and rain obscured the view. Indeed, even after the ships docked you could barely make out Queen Mary 2 (below left) and Queen Elizabeth (below right+ from Queen Victoria.

As the day progressed, however, the weather started to clear and it became possible to see Queen Mary 2 at the Ocean Terminal (above),
Queen Elizabeth at the Queen Elizabeth II Terminal (below left) and Queen Victoria at the Mayflower Terminal (below right). |

The harbor was open for business as usual. Also in port were Royal Caribbean's Anthem of the Seas (left) and Fred.Olsen's Balmoral (below left).
