Serenade of the Seas in the Western Caribbean
Serenade of the Seas in Cozumel video |
As is typical of Royal Caribbean's Radiance class ships, Serenade of the Seas gets around. Beacuse of their size, maneuverability and sea keeping qualities, Royal often uses these ships as explorer ships testing out new ports and itineraries. However, they also sail to some of the most popular cruise ports and this photo feature, we see Serenade on a Western Caribbean itinerary.
GRAND CAYMAN
Grand Cayman does not have a cruise ship pier so ships anchor in the bay in front of George Town and tender passengers ashore. Situated near the center of the Western Caribbean, Grand Cayman is a very popular port and along with Serenade are Carnival Freedom (below left) as well as Nieuw Amsterdam and Disney Magic (below right).

Falmouth, Jamaica
Although Falmouth has been a port for most of Jamaica's history, it has only relatively recently become a modern cruise port. The cruise port projects out from the island with berths for large cruise ships on either side. In between are shops, bars and restaurants, which are for the exclusive use of cruise passengers.
