Norwegian Epic is no stranger to the Mediterranean. She has spent most of her summers there since coming to service. Here, we find her in Civitavecchia, the cruise port for Rome.
On this occasion, Epic is berthed along the man-made sea wall that protects the port from the Mediterranean. With Epic in port are Pullantur's Sovereign (below left) and the German cruise ship Berlin (below right).

Late in the afternoon, Epic casts off and pulls away from the pier (above). A tug is there to assist but Epic is able to do most of the job herself.

Once away from her berth, Epic moves majestically through the harbor (above).
At the end of the sea wall, Epic turns to port and is out to sea.
