Island Princess is an attractive ship. She was designed to be able to transit the old locks of the Panama Canal and so she is long and thin with a streamlined look. Inside, she is more intimate than her larger Princess fleetmates but still is able to offer a good array of features. Furthermore, she is one of those ships that has always enjoyed a good personality.
In recent years, Island Princess has spent her summers roaming the waters around Europe. However, in the winter, she has returned to Fort Lauderdale to do Panama Canal cruises, something in which she has long specialized. 
On this occasion, Island Princess is about to embark on a Panama Canal cruise. It began at the upgraded terminal that Princess ship often use in the northwest corner of the cruise port.

Since Island Princess backed into her berth on arrival in Fort Lauderdale, she only has to make a turn to port to reach the cut that takes ships out to sea.
