Crystal Symphony is a ship that gets around. She does not cruise the same itinerary week after week. Rather, she is a world traveler sailing to a variety of ports around the globe. On this occasion, she was in Bridgetown, Barbados on a Caribbean cruise.
When Crystal Symphony entered service in 1995, critics debated whether a cruise ship as large as Symphony (51,000 gross tons) could provide a luxury experience. Since then, cruise ships have gotten much larger and Crystal Symphony is no longer regarded as a large ship. Furthermore, the ship has defied its critics and has established a reputation as providing an elegant and luxurious experience.
Also in port with Crystal Symphony on this day were P&O Cruises' Azura (above) and Royal Caribbean's Serenade of the Seas (right).
