As Conquest gets closer to the island she is created by a sailboat (above) and shortly thereafter she stops to pick up her pilot (below).

It is a relatively straightforward approach through open waters to the piers on the east side of the Great Bay.

|
By St. Maarten standards, it is not a particularly busy day. Two other cruise ships are berthed at the old pier and so Conquest gets the new pier to herself.
