The cruise port in Bridgetown is a man-made harbor. It is essentially rectangular. Because she is embarking on a cruise, Azura has docked at the end of the harbor close to the cruise terminal
At first glance, Azura looks like she must belong to Princess Cruises. This is because she is based on a design that first debuted with Grand Princess back when P&O Cruises owned Princess Cruises. This design evolved through a number of Princess ships. P&O Cruises had long thought of keeping one of the Grand class ships for itself but that did not happen until after Carnival Corporation and P&O merged. Not long thereafter, P&O got its first Grand class ship - - Ventura, She was followed two years later by Azura, the last of the Grand class ships to be built.
Across the harbor is Royal Caribbean's Serenade of the Seas. visiting Barbados as a port of call (above).
