AIDAdiva is making a port call at the popular Caribbean island of St. Kitts.
The Diva was the lead ship in AIDA's Sphinx class. Although she is relatively small (69,000 gross tons), she has the look and feel of a large resort style cruise ship. She is an unconventional cruise ship. For example, she has no main dining room. Rather, in addition to her specialty restaurants, she has three buffet restaurants. However, these themed-restaurants are not your typical cruise ship buffet restaurants. For one thing, they offer free beer and house wine. Along the same lines, there is no traditional theater. Shows are performed in the atrium. However, the supporting technology would be the envy of many shore-based theaters. Catering to German-speaking cruisers, th Diva endeavors to have a club-like, informal appeal. |
